We Might Be Grownups But We Like Pictures Too

This November library staff were asked to send in their favourite past and present picture books to celebrate National Picture Book Month. Turns out that adults are just as enthralled and mesmerized by these books as the little ones they're intended to entertain. I was surprised when I counted over 60 titles that had been sent to me in less than two weeks. There were some overlaps but the list below includes almost 50 favourites that can be found at the library. This winter, take time to read a great book with the little ones in your life; your time, your enthusiasm, and a lesson in literacy are three amazing gifts perfect for every day of every season.
